Like most of us, Sam Lake is about to take a few days of well-deserved vacation. But before having the toes fanned out, the creative director of Remedy Entertainment wanted to give some news of Alan Wake 2. “The filming sessions with our incredible cast continue, confides on Twitter the one who is also the screenwriter I think with [Clay Murphy] we've written countless pages, more than ever (this story is a monster) We'll let you know more after a brief summer break away from that obscure place called 'the writers' room.'"
Shoots ongoing with our stellar cast of actors. We’ve written a ton of pages with @yourpalclay, more than ever, I think (this story is a monster). More to come still after a short summer break from this dark place called the writers’ room. #amwriting @remedygames @alanwake pic.twitter.com/mR51xtUkBe

A tweet which allows the Finnish studio to recall all the ambition which is his, Alan Wake 2 taking the form of a survival horror, a first in the history of Remedy Entertainment. When the game was made official, the developers promised a heavy atmosphere, angst and a twisted psychological story. For the record, Ilkka Villi will again serve as a model for the 3D rendering of Alan Wake, while Matthew Porretta will once again lend his voice to the character. Technically, the game will be in third person and will run on the Northlight Engine, Remedy Entertainment's in-house engine.
Alan Wake 2 is slated for release in 2023 on PC, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, and PS5.
