We haven't heard from Arkanoid Eternal Battle since last June, but Microids is back with some new stuff to share with us. First thing to know, the breakout game will be available on October 27 on PC and consoles, which still leaves us a little time before its arrival. Also, just to tease us a little more, the French publisher invites us to discover its Battle Royale mode, which will be one of the strong points of this revisited version of the game. Moreover, it is possible to test it from now since a playable demo is available for free on Steam. No less than 25 people can compete in this BR mode, knowing that even if the number of lives is infinite, each loss of the Energy Ball decreases the score by 10% and it is the player who has the highest score weak which is eliminated at regular intervals. Obviously, Arkanoid Eternal Battle will offer a whole bunch of new powers that will keep you in the race, such as visual alterations of the enemy screen for several seconds, the temporary reduction in the size of the enemy ReVaus (ship) by 50% or even again the significant speed increase of the enemy Energy Ball for a limited time. And once there are only 4 players left for the final sprint, our opponent becomes DOH himself and every 45 seconds DOH will eliminate the player with the lowest score. It is therefore the one with the highest score at the end of this final phase who will face the DOH alone, knowing that we can hit him as much as possible to score points and increase his score.
