Released in March of that same year, Babylon's Fall was a failure, both critically and commercially. Square Enix is aware of this and has decided to stop the bleeding by announcing the end of its online monitoring. In a message posted on the game's official website, we learn that the servers will be cut on February 27, 2023, a symbol of death for this multiplayer action game which made sense in online games. Square Enix thanks the community for the support and warns that Season 2, currently in progress, will end on November 29th. So now is the time for players to enjoy their perks before the game finally bids farewell. Will this premature death of Babylon's tarnish relations between PlatinumGames and Square Enix? The future will tell us of course.
