A fortnight ago, Microids announced its collaboration with Bernard Werber, the famous French writer, best known for his Les Fourmis trilogy. The Paris-based publisher specified that several video games were planned to adapt some of his novels, without specifying either the name of these titles or their nature / concept. However, it was enough to go to Bernard Werber's official Facebook page to get the name of the first game since the novelist simply spilled the beans. It will therefore be the game Les Fourmis, which will present "a 3D of extraordinary quality" to use the words of Werber, who seems very happy to collaborate with Microids and promises to give us other crispy news. This is not the first time that Microids has worked with Bernard Werber on his novel Les Fourmis, since we had already been entitled to an adaptation in 2000. It was a real-time strategy game which had received good press at the time. It remains to be seen whether this new adaptation will once again take the form of an RTS or another genre. Still, we still have time to see the game arrive, since it shouldn't see the light of day before 2024 at best...
