As possibly one of the hardest builds for the early game, the Faith builds are the most rewarding in New Game Plus. Despite this, there are a few ways to get the most out of the stat early enough in the game that it won't drag on until Soul of Cinder.
Start of game
Starting with the Cleric or Herald class, a Faith build is a challenge. With Miracles available, players can enjoy a reliable source of healing while out of Estus. Finding Irina as quickly as possible and getting Lightning Spear will help you immensely.
- Raw Infused Weapons can help players avoid throwing points in STR and DEX in favor of FTH.
- Finding the Divine Braille Tome of Carim at the start of Road of Sacrifices will grant players access to Tears of Denial. The Miracle prevents death by letting the player live on only one HP.
- Talismans and Chimes should be left to the player's personal preference, as each will offer different advantages and disadvantages.
- The Claymore is a good choice to use with a raw gem, but any weapon works well enough.
- The Winged Knight of the High Wall of Lothric and the Undead Colony Evangelist have a chance to drop a Blessed Gem for players wanting to craft Blessed Weapons early on.
Players may want to invest in strength or dexterity for a hybrid build. Raw, Blessed, Deep, Fire, Poison, and Simple weapon infusions can help fight enemies with various resistances and don't require upgrade stats for damage. Finding what's comfortable is the goal at first, then building on that is the goal for the rest of the game.

Hybride Force / Foi
Many weapons scale well with both strength and faith. Dealing both physical and lightning damage, this build wields some of the most powerful weapons in the game. Using a talisman or chime for ranged attacks and healing while maintaining pressure with a powerful weapon is the goal of this type of construction.
- Morne's Great Hammer, Dragon Slayer Great Axe, and Dragon Slayer Sword Spear are the correct weapons for this type of build, but any lightning gem-infused force weapon will achieve a similar result.
- Tears of Denial is a good choice to run on every build. It is possible to cast this Miracle, disharmonize it and still have the effect in place.
- Sacred Oath and Profound Protection increase damage and defense.
- Lightning Stake will provide another way to deal melee damage and has a generous hitbox. Lightning Storm can be used for players who have not obtained the Swordspear from Nameless King's Soul.
- Players can use any infused heavy weapon and use the Lightning Blade Miracle to coat it in Lightning.
- Ring of the Sun's First Born and Morne's Ring both increase the damage of Miracles.
- The Lightning Clutch Ring can be used to increase all lightning damage from both miracles and weapons that deal lightning damage.
- Attack Rings such as Lloyd's Sword Ring and Red Tearstone Ring can be put to good use for this build.
Using a combination of Miracle Enhancement or Physical Enhancement gear, this build excels at dealing either source of damage. The weapon art of both Dragonslayer weapons also deal lightning damage, making them reliable sources of a large amount of lightning damage even with no FP left. Focusing on Stamina, Stamina, Attunement, Faith, and Strength can spread levels unevenly, so it's important to pay attention to a weapon's stats. Rings such as the Knight Ring and Priestess Ring can help boost levels at the expense of a ring slot.
Complete miraculous construction
The strongest miracle in the game comes from transposing the souls of the lords. The Sunlight Spear will be what players spam for damage in almost any situation. Attunement becomes more important the more the player relies on Miracles. Since Miracles are the primary source of damage, only Stamina, Stamina, Attunement, and Faith levels will be needed. one could even argue that Vigor is not as necessary due to the use of Tears of Denial.
- Damaging Miracles should include Spear of Sunlight, either Lightning Stake or Lightning Storm, Lightning Arrow, and White Crown Path.
- Defensive and Healing Miracles should include Deep Protection and Sacred Oath, as they both increase attack power and damage absorption, Great Magical Barrier, and Soothing Sunlight.
- The Ring of Morne and the Ring of the Firstborn of the Sun will increase the damage of Miracles and can be used with the Ring of Lightning Clutch to increase the damage of the Spear of Sunlight.
It is highly recommended to use the Witch Tree Branch or a Sage Ring to increase casting speed. Sunlight Spear is the primary source of damage and even deals damage twice in melee combat. Lightning Stake is a quick miracle to cast, but doesn't deal as much damage as the Sunlight Spear or Lightning Storm. Lightning Storm, however, takes a little longer and does damage multiple times. Determining when to cast these miracles in each situation will become easier with practice.
Dark/Bleeding Miracle Build
This is a relatively simple build that uses both Faith and Intelligence for Dark Miracles and Luck for the Bleed status effect. Miracles themselves that inflict bleeding use a fixed value and cannot be increased by luck. Using other bleed status weapons will use the luck stat instead, but this is optional.
- Dark Miracles should include Lifehunt Scythe and Dorhys' Gnawing. Dead Again can be used but it's not always practical.
- Using other damaging miracles like Sunlight Spear can be used normally.
- Healing and Polishing Miracles can be used normally.
- Anything that builds Bleed can be used as a weapon, but Warden Twinblades have the fastest build for status.
- Players can use other Dark infused weapons with great effectiveness with this build.
The main idea behind the construction is to bleed. Dealing 15% of an enemy's HP each time it triggers stacks with other sources of damage. Luck will increase the amount of bleeding weapons will increase the invisible status bar, but shouldn't be the primary focus if players want to use dark weapons instead. Pyromancies also scale with Faith and Intelligence, making it easy to use on Dark or Bleed resistant enemies.

Equipment
Various pieces of gear are suitable for Faith builds. Although their use is optional, they should not be overlooked.
Hoops
- Lightning Clutch Ring – This ring increases lightning damage by 15% while decreasing physical damage absorption by 10%.
- The Ring of Morne and the Ring of the Sun's Firstborn both increase the damage of Miracles by 12 and 20% respectively.
- Ring of Priestess – Increases Faith by 5 and can be useful at lower levels to reach the required requirement on certain weapons.
- Ring of Sage – Any variant of this ring is good because it increases casting speed by a fixed amount.
- Lloyd's Sword Ring – A good ring for every build that increases attack power by 10 percent while at full health.
- Red Tear Ring – Another ring for every build that increases attack power by 20 percent while being at or below 20 percent of remaining HP.
Although it is not a ring, it should be noted that the Wizard Tree Branch both increases casting speed more than any variant of the Sage Ring and does not require only have one hand free to apply the buff.
Carillons/Talismans
Choosing a talisman comes down to simple preference as everyone has their strengths and weaknesses.
- Talisman – Deals good damage while maintaining good hyperarmor.
- Sunlight Talisman – Deals the least damage but has high hyper armor.
- Talisman of Saint – Deals the most damage but has the weakest Hyper Armor.
Chimes deal more damage but lack the weapon art of talismans which provide hyper armor. The best chime is Yorshka's Chime and deals the most damage of any other catalyst when casting Miracles. When casting Dark Miracles, using Caitha's Chime or Sunless Talisman will deal the most damage.
Arms
Many weapons scale with Faith, but any weapon works when paired with a Lightning gem. There are a few notable weapons in the group that have innate lightning damage or high faith scaling.
- Dragonslayer Swordspear – Inflicts physical and lightning damage with a powerful weapon art that can strike enemies from a distance with lightning.
- Dragonslayer Great Ax – Inflicts physical and lightning damage with an area of effect weapon capable of taking out most enemies with a single hit.
- Great Hammer of Morne – Inflicts high physical damage with a balance and defense weapon art that knocks enemies back.
- Any of the three available Twin Prince Swords work well with a Faith build, but also scale with several other stats.
- Holy Sword of Wolnir – A good choice for Strength and Faith builds with average weapon art but good scaling.
- Saint Bident – One of the fastest choices for a Faith weapon that deals good damage even without an infusion. The Lightning Blade on the weapon can achieve higher numbers than buffing with a Lightning Gem.
- Straight Sword of Sunlight – Deals high damage while having a weapon art that works like the Sacred Oath Miracle.
Being one of the hardest builds to start, Faith builds can be very rewarding. The start is rough, but players can opt for other builds and then reassign their stats to Rosaria instead. Whichever way players decide to go about it, there are plenty of combinations of weapons, talismans, and miracles to choose from, and have a great time through the game.
