Black Adam gets off to a great start, the press hates it but the public loves it

Despite the very bad feedback from the press, both in Spain and internationally, Black Adam got off to a very good start. The film carried by Dwayne Johnson has indeed generated 140 million dollars at the global box office, including 67 million only on American territory, for its first weekend of exploitation. It is obviously the film that is taking the lead in the box office at the moment, but we remain below the estimates which announced between 70 and 75 million for its launch in the United States. In the detail of the international, it is Great Britain which is placed behind, followed by Mexico, Brazil, Australia then Spain which is placed in 5th position. That said, if we compare these first figures of Black Adam with the competition or DC's house productions, it's less explosive than expected. Thor Love & Thunder opened with $144 million, while films like Joker generated $39 million in a single day.

Despite this, the production remains happy with the reception of the film by the public, much more enthusiastic than the press. Proof of this is with the delta between the press rating (39%) and that of viewers (90%) on Rotten Tomatoes. A note that Dwayne Johnson did not hesitate to put forward on his social networks, thanking the public for the support, and recalling that if he makes films, it is to satisfy the public and no one else. A roundabout way to castigate the press which would not have grasped the primary interest of Black Adam.
