Black Panther Wakanda Forever: an emotionally powerful 1st trailer, there's Avatar 2 in it!

It was the one-more-thing tossed around by Marvel Studios at San Diego Comic-Con 2022, namely the very first trailer for Black Panther Wakanda Forever, which closed out all of the announcements made a few minutes ago. . Many thought Marvel wasn't going to reveal much and wait for its D-23 conference which is held every year in September, but there were plenty of surprises. The confirmation of two Avengers for 2025, only 6 months apart, to complete Phase 6 of the MCU, the release date of the Fantastic 4 for November 8, 2024, a new trailer of She-Hulk which revealed to us the presence of Daredevil in the series (with a new costume that we weren't very happy with), the announcement of Modok in Ant-Man 3 Quantumania and the confirmation of Chukwudi Iwuji as High Evolutionary, the great villain of Guardians of the Galaxy 3, Marvel Studios has clearly regaled. But the highlight of the show therefore remains this first video of Black Panther 2, the release of which is set for November 11, 2022 and will be the last film of a Phase 4 which will have sought an identity, often in vain.



If Thor Love & Thunder disappoints both the public and commercially, Black Panther Wakanda Forever seems ready to move MCU lovers and blow up the billion at the box office. It must be said that the trailer sets the tone for a film that will be the antithesis of the comedies that Marvel has been throwing at us for over a year and which is increasingly disappointing its audience. Difficult to swing valves every 2 minutes when we know that we will have to deal with the death of Chadwick Boseman, his character in the film and honor his legacy. The trailer for Comic-Con 2022 is also emotionally charged, both in certain shots where Shuri (played by Laetitia Wright) mourns the death of her brother. Tears that will probably not need to be played, when we know how much the actress was touched by the death of her friend. Angela Bassett also has a powerful scene, in which she explains that she is at the head of the most powerful nation in the world, but at the cost of having lost all of her family, husband and son, all with a lump in her throat. The extract is particularly strong and moving. 







But this 1st trailer for Black Panther Wakanda Forever confirms all the rumors that have been circulating for several months, namely the introduction of Atlantis in the film. Wakanda and the aquatic world will come into conflict, and bring Namor out of the water. It is also the Mexican actor Tenoch Huerta who will play the role of the Prince of the Seas, while the actress Dominique Thorne will make her debut in the MCU in the role of Ironheart. The Wakanda will obviously have an important part in the creation of the character, and undoubtedly of his armor. Another striking element of this first trailer: the many aquatic sequences which are also very reminiscent of Avatar 2: The Way of the Water. Between the births under water, the whales that serve as a means of transport and the aquatic plans, we have the impression that Ryan Coogler the director went to draw inspiration from the work of James Cameron. Of course, African culture will remain the spokesperson for this second film which also has the good taste to have offered a cover of "No Woman No Cry" by Bob Marley, where his words find real meaning in this sequel.
