Currently in development at Haenir Studio, an independent structure that only has two people, Blight: Survival is getting a very first gameplay video with the complicity of our colleagues from IGN. And the least we can say is that visually, the game hits the bull's eye, thanks in particular to the Unreal Engine 5 which once again shows that it has something in its stomach. Of course, this is only a 5 minute sequence, but for pre-alpha, the rendering of the textures is quite impressive.
According to what we are told, Blight: Survival takes the form of a roguelite mixed with action and horror, and taking place in medieval times. War rages on, and as the two warring nations surrender blow for blow, a plague descends on humanity, transforming the corpses into horrible creatures. You will have understood: in the shoes of a warrior, the player will have to clean up a kind of no man's land where monsters swarm. He won't be alone since he can be accompanied by three other brave adventurers.
We are promised a lot of loot – with the risk of losing everything in the event of failure, of course – as well as a host of customizable weapons and equipment. Finally, we are assured that the map will be filled with treasures and other secrets to discover. For the moment, we do not know when Blight: Survival will be released, Haenir Studio being on the lookout for new talent. It is also not known if it will only be offered on PC, or if other supports are targeted.
