Brawl Stars, like many other mobile multiplayer games, has built-in software to detect third-party apps that manipulate the game. Supercell says third-party software includes:

- Any other program that aims to modify or provide unearned progress
We've bolded the word unearned for a reason: it's vital. In any game, if you try to accomplish things without earning them, you're going to have a problem. The problem is laid bare in Supercell's own words: "Attempting to gain an unfair advantage by using prohibited third-party software will result in a permanent ban on any offending account."
Brawl Stars recently changed the way it gives gems to the community. Previously, gems were randomly awarded in loot boxes, meaning some players could unbox ten or more, and others couldn't get any. Now Gems are incorporated as guaranteed rewards in the Brawl Pass, and this is the only way to get them for free.
