New World witnessed its grand launch on September 28, 2021. Players are already jumping into the new MMORPG game in droves to experience what it offers. For those of you wondering how to switch servers in New World, here's exactly what you need to do.
New World servers are referred to as "worlds". There are numerous servers hosted in five regions, namely US West, US East, Central Europe, South America, and Australia. Amazon Games Studio plans to expand its servers and regions over time, including servers in Southeast Asia.
The worlds are then grouped into various in-game world sets, such as the Zeta, Nu, and Ultra world sets. Regarding the question, can you switch servers in New World? The answer is yes, you can. However, there are some risk factors that you should consider first hand.
- You cannot transfer your character from one world to another. You need to create a new character for this.
- A server can only host one of your characters.
- You can only have one character in a particular world set.
- Playing with friends is only possible if you share the same server as them.
- If you want to create a new character for the existing world, your current character must be deleted.

- Tap "Continue" in the lower right corner of the menu.
- On the left side of the screen, search for "create new character".
- Select the server region of your choice from the drop-down menu. You can also select the world and the set of worlds from there.
- Follow the steps and press "I understand".
- This will take you to character creation after a brief cutscene which of course you can skip.
