Cobra Kai 2 Dojos Rising is announced on video, the animations are from another time...
There will be a sequel to the video game Cobra Kai The Karate Kid Saga Continues released in 2020 and it is the publisher GameMill Entertainment who has just announced it. Through a full press release, and a first accompanying video, we learn that this sequel is called Cobra Kai 2: Dojos Rising and that it is planned for PS5, PS4 and Nintendo Switch. We will obviously find all the key characters from the TV series, now housed at Netflix, but be aware that the beat'em all approach in horizontal scrolling à la Final Fight / Streets of Rage has been abandoned for an action game more varied offering several game modes. You will indeed have to start by choosing your dojo, between Eagle Fang, Cobra Kai and Miyagi-do and then establish your style by recruiting the most powerful team. If Cobra Kai 2: Dojos Rising will offer sequences in beat'em all format, the old-fashioned 2D horizontal scrolling rendering has been modified for different viewing angles. Similarly, the game will offer 1v1 clashes during the All Valley Tournament mode, knowing that it will be possible to face other players from around the world since online tournaments are scheduled. Visually, this sequel is in line with the first episode, while the animations seem to have been downgraded with completely choppy and mechanical movements that send us back 20/25 years. It's quite disturbing. We let you judge the result.
