Barely a week after the deployment of the 1.04 patch, CD Projekt Red informs all players that a new hotfix has been published this Saturday, December 19, 2020. It concerns all platforms, PC as well as PS4 and Xbox One consoles and allows to correct some major and minor problems before the arrival of the two big patches promised by the Polish studio in January and February. We remind you that following the deplorable state of the game on PS4 and Xbox One, Sony has taken the decision to remove Cyberpunk 2077 from the PlayStation Store, which means that it is no longer available for purchase, until at new order. The Japanese manufacturer immediately set up an unconditional refund system, something that Microsoft also offers since the gaming experience is simply ruined by all of these bugs. On the other hand, as a good partner, the Redmond firm leaves the game available for purchase on its Xbox online store. Go, without further ado, the list of all the changes proposed by this Hotfix 1.05.

PERFORMANCE AND STABILITY

PC SPECIFIC
- [AMD SMT] Optimized default core/thread usage for AMD Ryzen(tm) 4 and 6 core processors. The 8-core, 12-core, and 16-core processors remain unchanged and behave as expected. This change was implemented in cooperation with AMD and based on tests from both sides indicating that the performance boost only occurs on processors with 6 cores and below.
- Fixed an issue with how raw entries are collected.
- Removed the use of AVX instructions, thus fixing crashes occurring at the end of the prologue on CPUs that do not support AVX.
- Removed the debug console to prevent functions that could cause crashes or blocked quests. That doesn't mean we don't want to support the modding community. Stay tuned for more information on this.
- Light reflections (ray tracing) should no longer appear too bright in relation to the surroundings.
- Fixed an issue with the Steam Overlay crashing when quitting the game.
- Removed memory_pool_budgets.csv file. which was unrelated to the final version of the game and had no influence on it (it was a leftover file used during development to estimate memory usage. It had no effect on the amount of memory actually allocated). The perceived performance increase after changing the file may have been related to restarting the game.
CONSOLE SPECIFIC
- Improved image sharpness with chromatic aberration and film grain enabled.
- Settings should no longer reset to default after multiple game session restarts.
- Fixed visual issues occurring when transitioning between The Heist and Love Like Fire.
- Fixed the appearance of several vehicles.
- [Xbox] Entering combat while the Synaptic Accelerator is active no longer causes the player's health bar to disappear.
- [Xbox] The game now responds again to disconnecting a profile when the controller disconnect message is visible.
- The telemetry consent request will appear once again due to an earlier problem with resetting settings.
- Fixed an issue where it was possible to fall down the elevator shaft in Megabuilding H8 in the Automatic Love quest.
