It's no secret that after reigning supreme in the SVOD market, Netflix has experienced a sharp decline in recent times. In the first quarter of 2022, the platform lost some 200 subscribers, which naturally impacted the stock market value. Aware that its leading position may be called into question in the face of increasingly fierce competition, the sector giant is therefore trying to improve the quality of its programmes.
It is therefore no coincidence that Geeked Week 2022 was the opportunity to learn that Dragon Age, BioWare's flagship series, was going to be the subject of a TV adaptation as indicated by a number of rumors last year. Created by Mairghread Scott (Transformers) and produced by Red Dog Culture House (The Witcher: The Wolf's Nightmare), it will take place in the Tevinter Empire that fans know particularly well. We are told that BioWare is involved in the project, and that of course, the lore of the franchise – whether demons, Red Templars, Qunari, mages, or even knights – will be respected. Release scheduled for December.
Finally, let's not forget to remember that recently, BioWare revealed the final name of Dragon Age 4, namely Dragon Age: Dreadwolf.
