Electronic Arts wants its Monster Hunter and is teaming up with Omega Force (Dynasty Warriors) to make it

The now international success of Capcom's Monster Hunter franchise is making people envious, especially on the side of Electronic Arts, which is taking advantage of the next kick-off of the Tokyo Game Show 2022 to announce the collaboration with the Omega Force studio for the creation of a new Action-RPG game around monster hunting. Known for the Dynasty Warriors and Samurai Warriors licenses, massive beat 'em alls where the screen is full of enemies to knock out, the Japanese studio Omega Force may well be the ideal candidate to manage an AAA headed by a Western publisher. This is all the more true since in recent years, the Japanese firm had proven that it could work on licenses other than their own with Attack on Titan, Dragon Quest, Fire Emblem and Hyrule Warriors. Of course, this will be the first time that Omega Force has collaborated with Electronic Arts, but the project is part of the EA Originals label. In any case, the two companies seem delighted to have found each other. Yosuke Hayashi, Executive Vice President of KOEI TECMO GAMES CO, LTD and Jeff Gamon, Managing Director of EA Partners also took the floor.

We're honored to partner with EA Originals and have the support of a team with such a track record of groundbreaking games. The EA team fully supports our creative independence, and this partnership provides us with valuable development and publishing support. By combining EA's global resources with our own, we will be able to deliver a new kind of monster hunting game and increase our impact in international markets. I can't wait for players around the world to discover this new title.

Building on the incredible success of EA Originals, which includes the recent releases of It Takes Two and Knockout City™, we are thrilled to partner with the talented team at Omega Force. Its combat gameplay expertise combined with unexpected and innovative mechanics will take monster hunting gaming to the next level. We can't wait to bring his groundbreaking new adventure to the world later this month.

It remains to be seen how long the project has been launched and when it will see the light of day, but Electronic Arts is already meeting next month to reveal more. Strongly. In the meantime, here is a first full-color concept-art.
