Final Fantasy XVI was responsible for closing the State of Play this evening through a trailer called "Dominance". "We've given relatively few details about the game system in our previous announcements and interviews, but this new preview should give you a clearer idea of what the gameplay will include, namely thrilling battles in which our protagonist Clive Rosfield will use a whole arsenal of attacks specific to the many Primordials (summons) of the game, assures Yoshida Naoki, the producer of the game. Not to mention the epic clashes between the Primordials themselves which will immerse you in the heart of the action.
According to Final Fantasy XVI director Hiroshi Takai, development is going well. "I am pleased to announce that the game is fully playable, from start to finish, he says. However, we still have a lot of work, from optimization to fine-tuning the last details, to complete this final stage of completion." Suddenly, the game will not land this year on PS5 but during the summer of 2023. Until then, the developers promise that they will give news of Final Fantasy XVI.
