The least we can say is that since its announcement in July 2020 as part of the Xbox Games Showcase, the next Forza Motorsport has been rather discreet, even if it means letting Gran Turismo 7 take all the light on PS5. Turn 10 is working hard on this opus presented as a technological showcase of the Xbox Series X, while listening to the community. Moreover, last year, Chris Esaki (creative director) announced that several tests would take place before the release of the one also called Forza Motorsport 8, and this only within the framework of the Forza program.
Precisely, two images of the game leaked recently, and if we are to believe the author of the post on Reddit, they would come not from the Xbox Series X version, but from the Xbox One version which was never made official by Microsoft. Obviously, we are entitled to wonder if the two shots in question are not bogus, but after verification by the moderators, they would indeed be legitimate and based on a build dating from July 2021. The second image highlights the stands which, incidentally, will be one of the main novelties of the next Forza Motorsport. This is indeed what Chris Esaki confirmed when discussing the first playtest organized on May 8, 2021. This session was an opportunity for the developers to show all the work done on the tires - there will be including different types of eraser - and the physics engine as a whole.
Also expected on PC, Forza Motorsport does not yet have any release date, but perhaps Microsoft will unveil it during the Xbox & Bethesda Games Showcase which will take place on Sunday June 12 at 19 p.m. (French time).
