In accordance with the latest rumors circulating on the Web, the new Forza Motorsport has indeed shown itself during the Xbox & Bethesda Games Showcase. Present on stage, Dan Greenawalt (General Manager of the Forza Motorsport franchise) and Chris Esaki (Creative Director at Turn 10) unveiled a new trailer as well as a gameplay video to illustrate the progress of the work. "We've unveiled an all-new real-time trailer captured on Xbox Series X along with the first gameplay footage of Forza Motorsport showing how Maple Valley, a track beloved by fans since the release of the very first Forza Motorsport in 2005, came to life in all its beauty, displaying an unprecedented richness in its details", is it indicated in the official press release. And it's true that the game is incredibly beautiful, especially in 4K.
"In addition to Maple Valley, our trailer presented other tracks making their return, such as the Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps and the Laguna Seca Raceway, continues Chris Esaki. You were also able to discover the Kyalami Grand Prix Circuit, a southern track racing debut in Forza Motorsport, and the all-new Hakone Circuit in Japan, an original, high-speed Grand Prix circuit designed to make you feel the unparalleled immersion and technical advancements of the new Forza Motorsport. ..] In Forza Motorsport, vehicle damage is displayed in great detail, down to the tiniest scratch on your bodywork, you'll see which direction the damage came from, paint chipping off at the most exposed edges , wheel abrasion and dust build-up. Damage is part of the reality of motor racing and has been faithfully reproduced in the new Forza Motorsport."
Even if there was no shadow of a doubt, the game will be unfailingly realistic; at least that's what Turn 10 says. "Our dynamic time-of-day evolution system is fundamental, it brings our circuits to life with lots of detail and, like the weather, it will be available on all the tracks, we are told. The change of time changes the ambient temperature, which in turn has an impact on the temperature of the surface of the tracks. The latter will affect the grip of your car, such as the wear on your tires. These new details will add depth, drama and dynamism to the experience.
The pure driving experience has been fully enhanced to take advantage of Xbox Series X|S, including 48x higher fidelity physics simulation. Listening to your feedback, we've added new features, such as fuel and tire wear management, several tire compounds, and a very advanced vehicle modification system that will allow you to create the ultimate car. All of these things come to life at the stand, where advanced materials and shading combine with ray tracing to show off the incredible detail of gold tapes, anodized aluminum and carbon fiber. Ray tracing especially works wonders on engines and their intricate reflections."
Finally, the most important: the new Forza Morsport will be ready for the spring of 2023. It is planned on Xbox consoles and PC.
