gamescom 2022: unlike Sony and Nintendo, Microsoft will be present in Cologne

While Sony Interactive Entertainment and Nintendo have announced that they will not be participating in gamescom 2022, Microsoft will indeed be present in Cologne. This is indeed what the American manufacturer announces in an official press release where he specifies that the event will be an opportunity to show new things on games already announced. "Following our recent Xbox & Bethesda Games Showcase, we are thrilled to confirm Xbox's return to the showfloor at gamescom 2022 in Cologne, Germany," it reads. In addition to Sony Interactive Entertainment and Nintendo therefore, other notable players in the video game industry will be conspicuous by their absence such as Take-Two Interactive, or Activision Blizzard. Still, gamescom 2022 organizers say the show will have over 250 attendees, including Ubisoft, Koch Media, 505 Games, Bandai Namco Entertainment, Warner Bros. Games, or even THQ Nordic. For the record, the festivities will take place from August 24 to 28, knowing that the kick-off will be given the day before (August 23 at 20 p.m.) as part of the now traditional Opening Night Live orchestrated by the essential Geoff Keighley.
