God of War Ragnarök already on sale, Cory Barlog freaks out and questions physics games
Expected for November 9, the same day as Black Panther Wakanda Forever, God of War Ragnarök has already been leaked recently, following images "unfortunately" posted on Twitter by a tester in possession of a review code. If Sony Interactive Entertainment has taken the necessary measures to stop this impromptu leak, it seems that fate is bent on the game. Indeed, for days, God of War Ragnarök is already on sale in some stores in the States United States, which have not respected the embargo date for marketing. This allowed users to share their game session and thus reveal narrative elements of the story. Cory Barlog, creative director on the game, and former game director on the 2018 episode, expressed his frustration on Twitter and he didn't go with the back of the spoon.

A retailer has already put the game on sale almost TWO WEEKS before its release. It's so disappointing. I'm sorry that you have to dodge the spoilers if you want to play it peacefully. Completely stupid to have to do that. You know, right now I can really see the advantage of just having an installer on the physical disk.

Cory Barlog's last sentence obviously refers to the controversy of Call of Duty Modern Warfare II, whose physical disc contained just a tiny part of the game, the rest having to be downloaded directly via the servers. Barlog then returned to his remarks, explaining that it was a mood at the time and that he does not necessarily want this kind of practice to become generalized …

To be clear, I expressed my frustration in the first tweet. I'm not advocating that at all. This is not the future I want as a gamer or developer. It's so frustrating. I feel bad for the team. This whole ordeal is incredibly stressful for all of us. It's time to take a break, for my sanity.

So stay alert for spoilers on the game, they are indeed numerous on social networks, some taking malicious pleasure in revealing key moments of the game, in particular the fight between Kratos and Thor, but also the end of the game.

to be clear, I was expressing my frustration in the first tweet. not advocating for that at all. not the future i want as a gamer or dev.

just so beyond frustrated. feel terrible for the team.

this whole ordeal is incredibly stressful for us all.

    mental health break time.👋
