The State of Play on September 14, 2022 ended as it began, with ferocity. If it was Tekken 8 that opened the festivities, it was a certain God of War Ragnarök who was responsible for delivering the last blow. And we must admit that Kratos hit hard, thanks to the publication of this Story Trailer which depicts the mystical issues of this new adventure. And it is clear that Santa Monica Studio had kept beautiful cartridges to better surprise us. Not only do we realize that Kratos will cross paths with many new opponents, but in addition, we see that the relationship between our Spartan warrior and his son Atreus has changed somewhat. Atreus has grown up, we knew it, but he now disagrees with his father on certain points. He does not hesitate to stand up to him and make him understand that he will no longer follow in his footsteps blindly. Should we see a semblance of betrayal once he understands what he really is? Nothing is done. In any case, this trailer dedicated to the story finally gives us what we've all been waiting for since the end of God of War in 2018: the clash between Kratos and Thor. We see indeed an extract of this fight which promises to be epic and on equal terms.
The release of God of War Ragnarök is expected for November 9 on PS5 and PS4.
