With its 69% Metacritic average, Gotham Knights is officially considered a disappointment. Empty open world, sluggish gameplay and non-existent sensations on the Bat-Cycle, the game also created controversy around the absence of 60fps, when it was developed only on PS5 and Xbox Series. Worse still, the 30 frames per second proposed by the developers is far from optimal, since the game shows many frame-rate drops. This instability is also one of the points that the developers of Warner Bros Montreal are trying to fix to try to catch up with the players. In a series of tweets published yesterday, the studio promised to take player feedback into account in order to improve the game experience. For now, the main thing will be to take feedback into account to improve the game. It is stated that the developers are working on a patch that will substantially stabilize the performance issues on PC. Patches have also been deployed recently, particularly concerning system crashes related to co-op games. The console versions are not forgotten and a technical update is planned so that the 30fps is as optimal and as stable as possible. Obviously, on the side of the players, it is the addition of a "Performance" mode that is requested, but at this stage, it is not known if Warner Bros Montreal is able to provide such a technical arrangement.
The team is hard at work on a larger Patch to improve performance overall and give you the best possible experience. For console users, we are specifically aiming to address challenges with framerate stability. (6/7)
