Just a few weeks after officially unveiling the gameplay trailer for Batgirl in the game Gotham Knight, Warner Bros. Games invites us to go a little deeper to discover Batman's female alter-ego. It is through a gameplay video of just over 16 minutes offered to our colleagues at IGN.com that we can see our young woman show us her agility in climbing everywhere and entering a building which obviously refers at the Court of Owls, the criminal organization which will undoubtedly be the main threat in the game. Then, we realize that Batgirl will have to play detective by inspecting the premises, helped by her skills inherited from Bruce Wayne. On the crime scene still full of blood, she is able to guess what happened and recover the information to advance her investigation. But Batgirl will be very quickly disturbed by thugs that will have to be rusted out and thus show us her combat skills. Thanks to her electric tonfas, the masked vigilante is quite effective in close combat with well-placed attacks and the possibility of being more stealthy by strangling her enemies from behind. Of course, the game is inspired by the gameplay of Batman Arkham by relying on the free flow system, well known from the saga. The gameplay sequence ends with a confrontation against a more robust half-boss than the others.
The release of Gotham Knights is expected for October 7 on PC, PS5 and Xbox Series.
