GTA 6: Jason Schreier confirms the authenticity of the leaks after contacting Rockstar alumni

It didn't escape anyone. Early this morning in Spain (overnight in the United States), a very important leak around GTA 6 took place, with no less than 90 gameplay videos of an Alpha PS4 version (from 2019) which ended up on the internets. GTAforums first, then Twitter and then TikTok, the shares are quite important, like what GTA represents, and Rockstar Games which we thought was untouchable when it comes to leaks. If many people have asked themselves the question of the legitimacy of these videos, sometimes thinking that it could have been a mod of GTA 5 making us believe in a leak, a certain Jason Schreier came to pose his stone to the building. In a recent tweet, he explains that he authenticated the GTA 6 game after contacting former Rockstar Games employees. 

 

Not that there's much doubt, but I've confirmed with Rockstar sources that this weekend's massive Grand Theft Auto VI leak is real. The images are early and unfinished, of course. It's one of the biggest leaks in video game history and a nightmare for Rockstar Games.

Indeed, a leak of this magnitude is quite unusual, and also recalls the leak of The Last of Us Part 2, which had seen part of its game end up on the Internet, also spoiling the death of Joel by Abby . At the time of writing these lines, the origins of this leak are gradually emerging, and it seems to be a hack, with blackmail at the end. Rockstar Games will wake up and see the extent of the damage. Hard not to think of all the developers who have been working on it for years. Strength to them.
