GTA 6: Neil Druckmann supports Rockstar, and remembers The Last of Us 2 leak

Now considered the biggest leak in video game history, the 90 GTA 6 gameplay videos (which total 60 minutes) have been authenticated by Jason Schreier, journalist and insider at Bloomberg, who is also a specialist when it comes to exposing certain information. By tweeting that he had been able to discuss with former employees of Rockstar Games who certified the veracity of these videos to him, the whole world now knows that this GTA 6 will take place in Vice City, that the story will not take place in the 80s, but nowadays and that the story will focus on a duo of characters: Jason and Lucia, whom we can control at will. Since this morning, French time, it is obviously the stampede and if we now know that it is a hacker who is at the origin of this massive leak, the latter has started to threaten Rockstar to make public the source codes from GTA 6 but also from GTA 5. Faced with the scale of this disaster, certain video game personalities did not hesitate to support Rockstar Games. This is the case of Neil Druckmann, thinking head of Naughty Dog to whom we owe Uncharted 4, The Last of Us and The Last of Us Part Two. In a tweet posted shortly before 18 p.m., he shares his pain with his fellow developers at Rockstar Games, explaining that it's a bad time to pass and that one day this leak will be nothing more than an explanatory line on the GTA 6 Wikipedia page.

To my fellow developers affected by the latest leak, please know that while this seems overwhelming right now, it will pass. One day we'll play your game, enjoy your craft, and leaks will be relegated to a footnote on a Wikipedia page. Keep pushing. Keep making art.

Gameplay, cutscenes and even bits of the multiplayer mode (which incidentally still hasn't been released yet) found their way into the wild. Worse still, the famous sequence where Abby murders Joel was part of the videos that had been leaked, revealing in passing one of the most important moments in history. Inevitably, in these moments, a message from a person who has experienced the same situation can undoubtedly soothe the pain and anger...
