Honor of Kings World : entre Zelda Breath of the Wild, FF XV et Monster Hunter, le nouvel Action-RPG de Tencent

Announced a year ago, Honor of Kings World is making a comeback with a new big gameplay video. The opportunity to discover the developments made for a dozen months by the studio TiMi Studio on behalf of Tencent Games. For now, we still don't know on which platforms the game will be released, or when, even if we strongly suspect that this Honor of Kings World will land on PC and new gen consoles. Because Tencent Games is betting heavily on this title, wishing to walk on the toes of Genshin Impact, both in terms of popularity and critical success. For those who are unfamiliar with Honor of Kings World, know that this is a MOBA that is already experiencing huge success in China, with more than 145 million active players as of the date of March 2022. The potential is therefore enormous and the international ambitions significant.



In this new gameplay video, we see that the game borrows heavily from Action-RPGs that have had some success with players. Parasailing Zelda Breath of the Wild style, large monsters to fight reminiscent of Monster Hunter, a combat system inspired by Final Fantasy XV with in particular this teleportation which allows you to get as close as possible to enemies in a few seconds, Honor of Kings World relies on brutal and dynamic action. The environments also announce good things to come, with a lot of relief in the open world, caves (dungeons?) to visit and the possibility for the chosen characters (several obviously) the ability to transform and also make use of firearms, through exoskeletons. Besides, we could also see some inspiration from Xenoblade chronicles too. In short, a game that does not have much personality, but which looks very promising in its execution. And sometimes, it's more than enough to dazzle the assembly. No release date for the time being, but it is said behind the scenes that Tencent Games is betting a lot on this Honor of Kings World.
