David Gibson had mentioned it last May in a tweet following a strategic presentation at Sony, Horizon Zero Dawn is going to be the subject of a television series on Netflix. We know a little more today thanks to an article published by Deadline in which we learn that it was Steve Blackman who inherited the project, he who became known for the Umbrella Academy series, also on Netflix. To support him in this pharaonic project, Blackman has surrounded himself with a few trusted people such as Abbey Morris who has already worked on Bosch, The Killing, American Odyssey and The Comedians. The names of Asad Qizilbash and Carter Swan of PlayStation Productions are also mentioned, as are; Jan-Bart van Beek and Ben McCaw from the Guerrilla studio, and finally Roy Lee and Matthew Ball from Vertigo productions. Together, they will ensure that the project materializes, and above all that it perfectly reflects the atmosphere instilled by the two video games. We recall that the story is about the adventures of Aloy, who goes in search of her past, but also that of Humanity, returned to the Stone Age after having created robotic animals endowed with artificial intelligence. Suffice to say that the challenge is daunting, if only in the costumes, sets and special effects. We recall that the God of War series should land on Amazon, while Granb Turismo is still looking for a broadcaster.
