James Gunn (Guardians of the Galaxy) appointed head of DC Studios, time for change?

Dwayne Johnson warned us well in advance of the release of Black Adam: things are going to change for the DC Extended Universe, and he was right the guy. In an article posted by The Hollywood Reporter where it is also explained that the hierarchy of powers will be shaken up, we learn that James Gunn and Peter Safran are taking the helm of DC Films together, renamed DC Studios at the same time (we will appreciate the foot call to Marvel). Since the merger between Warner Bros and Discovery, but also the (forced) departure of Walter Hamada a few weeks ago, there is a sense of renewal within the DC Extended Universe. By placing the two men at the head of this new entity, Warner Bros wishes to establish a fixed editorial line, in order to develop DC films in cinemas as in TV series in one and the same direction. A kind of Kevin Feige with DCEU sauce that has always been missing from the enemy stable of Marvel. 



The article, validated in the process by James Gunn in person on Twitter, proves that the filmmaker has come a long way from Warner and DC since his time to produce the soft reboot of The Suicide Squad and launch the Peacemaker series, two successes reviews that have given Warner hope that it can make up for 10 years of false starts.
