Well known to Twitter users, Jeff Ross has commented a lot on video game news, especially when the subject of Days Gone was on the table. Leaving Bend Studio a few months after the release of his game for which he worked as game director, Jeff Ross has just been hired by the Crystal Dynamics studio, which has just officially announced the development of the new Tomb Raider during of the keynote dedicated to the Unreal Engine 5. It is not yet known if Jeff Ross will work on the new adventures of Lara Croft, or if he will come as reinforcements on Perfect Dark, but the latter has formalized his arrival at Crystal Northwest. It is also from this summer that the man will move from Oregon to settle in Seattle and bring his know-how and his vision of video games that he does not hesitate to share on his social networks or through podcasts. We recall that following the poor figures obtained by Days Gone in 2019, and undoubtedly some internal conflicts with Sony Interactive Entertainment, the thinking heads of the game had resigned. Of course, Jeff Ross played a big part in the fact that he wasn't given a second chance to produce a sequel to Days Gone, which in his eyes deserved to exist. As for the petition launched in April 2021 to push Sony to develop a Days Gone 2, it has just over 166 signatories, which is obviously too few to make the leaders at PlayStation want to change their minds. .
I'm excited to announce I now work at the amazing Crystal Dynamics as Design Director. That's all I can say other than I'm thrilled with the project, and especially the team of really wonderful people.
I will become a Seattleite this summer.
