The second mission of the Jurassic World Evolution 2 campaign sends you to Washington State and asks you to capture a rogue Allosaurus. The problem is that there is a bug with the objective that prevents some players from completing the mission and moving on to the rest of the campaign. So how do you make sure the Allosaurus is safely enclosed?
Fixed Allosaurus bug in Jurassic World Evolution 2
The Allosaurus virus in the Washington State mission appears to rear its head when:
- Another dinosaur enters the enclosure of the Allosaurus
- There's a break in the fence
After constructing the finish point, control center, back-up generator, and response facility, you'll be tasked with repairing broken fences to create enclosures for the Carnotaurus.
You can use the Ranger team to fix the cases, but don't miss any repairs. A gap in the fence will cause the objective to remain incomplete. After testing things several times, it looks like an entire section of fence must be missing for there to be a problem; a small gap doesn't matter.
The best thing to do here is to tear down all the fences and build your own. This will not affect any of the lenses.
If you've made sure there aren't any holes in your Allosaurus enclosure, but you still can't reach the goal, a Compsognathus may be trapped inside with the Allosaurus. These little critters flit around the Washington map and can be hard to see because they're the same tan color as some foliage.
Usually they are too fast to get stuck inside a fence; sometimes they will even go through the fence. But if you paused the game to build a pen, it might get stuck inside. If so, just destroy part of the fence to let her out.
You can even build a small pen around your Allosaurus until the Compy leaves, then expand the pen again. Or, you can fully embrace the chaos and let the Allosaurus roam free for a while. Your choice.
While it seems like the bug preventing some people from ensuring the Allosaurus is safely enclosed doesn't appear to be groundbreaking, it's still worth backing it up before transporting the dino to its enclosure. The rest of the Washington state scenario is pretty straightforward. Once you heal the Allosaurus at the Paleo Medical Facility, you head to the next campaign location: Pennsylvania.
