Those who grew up in the 80s remember it as an old trauma from that movie about killer clowns. Released in 1988, Killer Klowns from Outer Space will be adapted into a video game by the Teravision Games studio on behalf of Good Shepherd Entertainment. The principle of the game is taken from Dead by Daylight, namely a multiplayer game offering an asymmetrical gameplay, different depending on whether you are the serial killer or the prey. If the studio has opted for this bias, it is not the result of chance since Killer Klowns from Outer Space: The Game is proposed by Randy Greenback, former game designer of the game Friday the 13th: The Game. This time, we will be entitled to several murderous clowns in place of Jason Voorhees, and the story will take place in the "peaceful" town of Crescent Cove. It is explained that the game is being developed as a game-service that will get plenty of content updates after launch, with release scheduled for early 2023 on PC, PS5, Xbox Series, PS4, and Xbox One. Here is the first trailer and the key elements of the game.
Key features:
Send in the Klowns: Play as the legendary Killer Klowns and work together as a threesome using your powers to hunt humans with a wacky arsenal. Plan your invasion to harvest as many citizens of Crescent Cove as possible.
Protect humanity: fight back as a team of seven citizens of Crescent Cove by choosing your classes to explore the city in search of loot and valuable weapons. Avoid the traps of the Klowns and resist - or sabotage - the alien invasion.
When you get to town: Crescent Cove is a sprawling arena ideal for clashes between 3 Klowns and 7 humans. Diverse and varied locations in addition to a random layout guarantee tense clashes and many tactical possibilities for both teams.
Fear can switch sides: its unique approach to hide-and-seek gameplay, its respawn and customization systems, its PvPvE, its dynamic objectives offering surprising outcomes: Killer Klowns evolves the formula of the online horror game of good different ways.
Good Shepherd Entertainment, in partnership with Teravision and MGM, is pleased to offer as much authenticity as innovation in this brand new take on a cult universe. The film's original composer John Massari returns for a perfectly on-trend soundtrack, while the Chiodo brothers, who created Killer Klowns, serve as Executive Producers.
