The new Life is Strange game is upon us and will be available next month. As if we weren't already excited enough for that, Square Enix and Deck Nine have announced that there will also be DLC coming soon after, and that's bringing no one but Steph Gingrich to the fore!
The main game, Life is Strange: True Colors, is scheduled for September 10, 2021 following the adventures of Alex Chen. During these adventures, it was previously revealed that Alex meets our favorite Dungeons & Dragons girl, Steph Gingrich from Before the Storm!
As additional content, Wavelengths was announced as a prequel story where players will step into the shoes of Steph, to see how she ended up in Haven Springs after leaving Arcadia Bay; as well as what she's been up to since we last saw her play a tabletop campaign with Chloe Price.
The trailer focuses on his job at the local radio station and his love of music. This suggests that she left her band to go live in Haven Springs. Because let's face it, it's not Life is Strange if there's no drama!
The DLC is set to release on September 30, 2021, just 20 days after the main game launched. This means you won't have to wait too long to get the most out of the series!

It's nice to have another prequel story to play out, much like the original game had with Before the Storm. Life is Strange 2 chose not to explore the backstory of any of the other characters, so stepping into Steph's boots will certainly be interesting and feel like it fits the first game's formula.
The Twitter announcement that was posted yesterday also came with the news that the Life is Strange: Remastered collection has been pushed back so that the development team working on the latest game can have time to relax after its release. The original collection of remasters is now slated for release in 2022. You can read the statement below:
This is so that the company does not foster crunching and burnout, which we fully support and will happily wait until 2022 to see Blackwell again in all its updated glory! Until then, we have a whole new story to live through Alex and Steph anyway, so there's plenty to do!
