    Reinstall your game

The Age of Empires 4 Support Team also added the following statement:

“Some anti-virus programs may also interfere with the installation of game files. Try reinstalling the game before trying to play again. »

If you are using anti-virus software other than Windows Defender, you may need to disable it and reinstall the game:

  • Go to your Steam client
  • Select the "Library" tab
  • Right click on Age of Empires 4 game
  • Go to the “Manage” option
  • Select "Uninstall" from the list
  • After that, restart your PC, start the Steam application and install Age of Empires 4 by pressing the Install button.

    Activate automatic time adjustment

Another statement from the developer asks players to check their time settings:

"If you're having trouble signing in with your Xbox Live account, turn on the 'Set time automatically' setting. If your time is out of sync, you won't be able to sign in.

You can set your time automatically by following these steps:

  • Press the Start button
  • Go to the “Settings” menu
  • Select the “Time and language” option
