Released on June 10 on Nintendo Switch, Mario Strikers Battle League Football divided the press and the players. With 74% average on Metacritic on the press side and 4.5/10 for the user score, we cannot say that the title was unanimous. Among the big criticisms made of the game is the lack of real novelties after 15 years of absence. It is true that if Nintendo has placed some new gameplay mechanics (such as items on the ground for example), we find more or less the same sensations as in 2007. Visually, it's the same feeling, the game does not didn't make a significant graphical leap, which didn't help the game's popularity. But it is above all the blatant lack of content at launch that angers players, the latter believing that Nintendo has chosen a policy centered on updates and DLCs to maintain the lifespan over time. While waiting for new features to enrich the content, Nintendo has published an explanatory video to go over the game's controls, its mechanics and some tips and tricks for behaving well on the field and winning for sure.
