"We were thrilled when our longtime friends at Remedy approached us about remaking the original Max Payne games," said Sam Houser, founder of Rockstar Games. "We're big fans of the work the Remedy team has created over the years, and we look forward to playing these new releases."
"Max Payne has always held a special place in the hearts of everyone at Remedy, and we know millions of fans around the world feel the same way," said Remedy CEO Tero Virtala. "We are extremely excited to once again be working with our partners at Rockstar Games for the chance to bring the story, action and atmosphere of the original Max Payne games to players in a new way."
If no release date has been mentioned, we do know that development is in its early stages and that the games will only be released on PS5, Xbox Series and PC. We also learn that the budget is financed by Rockstar Games and that these remakes are considered AAA games, which means that we can expect renderings worthy of what the next gen consoles could offer us. On the other hand, we will have to be patient before seeing him land.
