Microsoft launched a promotion through Microsoft Rewards yesterday that allowed US users to claim 100 Robux for free. Except that a day later, it doesn't seem to work anymore. We have some possible answers below.
Microsoft Rewards: Why Can't I Get 100 Free Robux?
Microsoft has yet to release a statement explaining why the 100 Free Robux can no longer be redeemed through Microsoft Rewards. Keep checking this page as we monitor the situation and provide further updates as we discover them.
Here is what we can confirm:
- December 29, 2020: We successfully redeemed 100 Robux for free through the Microsoft Rewards promotion.
- December 30, 2020: We could no longer use the 100 Robux for free after testing with a brand new Microsoft account. We also tested with a new Roblox account.
- Our best guess: Microsoft has suspended the promotion due to some users' use of Robux. We have heard that some users abuse the system and create multiple accounts to claim more than 100 Robux for their Roblox account. Although this is unfair to the majority of Roblox players, we hope Microsoft provides a solution as soon as possible!
As a result, we can neither confirm nor deny that the promotion is no longer running. As of yesterday, December 29, we have received mixed reports from users in the comments; some claim it works while others claim the promotion no longer works. We recommend testing the promotion for yourself using our original guide to see if you can claim 100 Robux.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Below, we've compiled a list of FAQs that have come up through the comments. We hope this helps anyone who has been unsuccessful so far in redeeming all 100 Robux through Microsoft Rewards.
Is the Microsoft Rewards promotion available in all countries?
No. The Microsoft Rewards promotion is only available in the United States. If you live outside the United States, you will not be able to claim the 100 Robux.
When I try to redeem all 100 Robux the Redeem Now button just leads to the rewards redemption page? I can't find the Robux anywhere?
We encountered this too. During testing on December 30, 2020, we encountered the same issue: clicking Redeem Now on the Claim Your Robux tab redirected us to the general Redeem page. We don't have a confirmed answer on this. Our best guess is that Microsoft temporarily suspended the promotion to prevent users from claiming more than 100 Robux with multiple new accounts.
I already have a Microsoft account. Why can't I use the 100 Robux?
You need to create a brand new Microsoft account. Existing Microsoft accounts are not eligible for the promotion. While you can still earn points through Bing, existing Microsoft accounts won't have the option to claim 100 Robux.
What is the difference between earning points and claiming the 100 Robux?
Microsoft Rewards is a program that allows users to earn points to redeem for prizes. There are many ways to earn points through Microsoft Rewards:
- Roblox Gift Cards. *
- Contest (for a chance to win an Xbox Series console, Surface Pro X bundle and more).
- Cartes Xbox: Xbox Live, Game Pass.
- Multiple gift cards to your favorite stores (Hulu, Dunkin' Donuts, Taco Bell, Starbucks, etc.).
*Microsoft says Microsoft Rewards points can be redeemed for Robux and Roblox gift cards. However, Roblox Gift Cards are not present in the “Redeem” section at this time.
However, this is separate from the 100 Robux promotion. Users who reside in the United States and create a new Microsoft account are the only users eligible to claim the 100 Robux. Claiming 100 Robux is a one-time redemption.
I'm on a laptop/mobile device. Will it still work?
