The Weathered Skeleton in Monster Hunter Rise is used in a handful of weapon recipes, as well as some low-tier armor. This crafting item is one of the more elusive bone materials you'll need to get your hands on forging and can only be found in low rank quests, so don't even bother with the high rank for this one- this.
It's easy to miss Weathered Skeleton almost entirely in Monster Hunter Rise if you don't go out of your way to pick up piles of bones when you can. This MHR guide will tell you everything you need to know about crafting materials, including where to find them.
How to Get an Eroded Skeleton in Monster Hunter Rise
Since Weathered Skeleton is strictly a low rank material, you will not be able to salvage Weathered Skeleton from high rank quests in Monster Hunter Rise.
The Eroded Skeleton is only found in the Sandy Plains region. Each bonepile in the Sandy Plains has a chance to grant you an Eroded Skeleton, and there are a total of seven bonepiles to choose from on the map.
To see where you can find heaps of bones in-game, check out the detailed map once you've loaded up and look for their icons to find your way. The bone piles look exactly as they would look: they're piles of monster bones of varying sizes, and they're pretty easy to spot once you're in the area.
It shouldn't take too many collection attempts to get your hands on an Eroded Skeleton or the number you need. Bringing a Gatherer Palico can help you earn them faster if you're feeling particularly unlucky.
