Sharp Claw is required for a handful of weapons as well as lower tier armor in Monster Hunter Rise, and it really isn't as hard to get as you might imagine if you're only taking down bigger monsters. .
Since the Sharp Claw is a low tier material, you will need to battle low tier mobs to get your hands on it.
How to Get Sharp Claw in Monster Hunter Rise
Sharp Claw is one of the few materials from small monsters, and only a few in particular. There is a higher percentage chance of getting Sharp Claw when certain small monsters are the target of your quest, but it is quite easy to kill several of them in a single quest where they are present and get the Sharp Claws you you need.
Small monsters that can be sculpted for Sharp Claws in Monster Hunter Rise are:
- Learn
- Jagra
- Ludroth
- Rachnoid
- Uroktor
As a reminder: you will only be able to get Sharp Claws from the Low Rank versions of these monsters.
If you have a Palico with the Pilfer skill, you can get Sharp Claws faster than without. Although Pilfer is a higher tier Palico skill, and the chances of you having it when you first research Sharp Claws in Low Rank are pretty low.
