Those waiting for more news on Mortal Kombat 11's upcoming expansion need wait no longer. NetherRealm Studios has provided additional information on the upcoming expansion, Mortal Kombat 11: Aftermath.

It was announced earlier this month that Mortal Kombat 11 would be getting a new expansion on May 26, introducing new characters Fujin, Sheeva, and legendary crime fighter, Robocop.

Along with character additions comes a slew of new story and epilogue content, game modes, scenes, and deaths – all in one package. You can see the video update below, which showcases gameplay for each of the three characters added to the roster, as well as footage of some of the new stages:

Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and NetherRealm Studios also provided additional information on each of the new characters and their abilities.

Fujin

Fujin is the God of Wind and serves the Elder Gods alongside his brother, Raiden, as the protector of Earthrealm. Playable for the first time in Mortal Kombat 4, he is adept at inspiring goodness and heroism to defeat the forces of hate and tyranny and fights to secure Earthrealm's bright future.

The immortal Fujin uses his sword and crossbow in battle and unleashes his god powers through a variety of wind-manipulating attacks to control his weapons, his movements, and even his opponents.

Sheeva

Sheeva is the four-armed, half-human, half-dragon queen of Outworld's ancient Shokan race. Playable for the first time in Mortal Kombat 3, the mighty Shokan warrior leads his people in the quest to achieve their rightful place as a partner in Outworld reign.

The male Shokan was once mocked when Sheeva entered the contest to become their next leader, but after a resounding victory, she proved herself superior and was crowned the first Shokan Queen.

The hard-hitting master brawler uses her grappling fighting style to bring down enemies and uses her trusty shield and unblockable teleportation foot to strike fear into the hearts of anyone who might oppose her.

Robocop

RoboCop, formerly known as Alex Murphy, was a conscientious cop who was brutally executed by a local gang. Brought back to life through OCP technology, Murphy was transformed into RoboCop, a highly advanced cybernetic police officer designed to uphold the law and protect the innocent.

Now making his debut in the Mortal Kombat franchise, RoboCop has received some upgrades and engages in battles equipped with a deadly arsenal of weaponry, including his Auto 9 pistol. He also wields a flamethrower, a riot shield and a shoulder cannon that he can load with different types of ammo to apprehend Kombatants who stand in his way.

RoboCop in Mortal Kombat 11: Aftermath features the voice and likeness of actor Peter Weller, who portrayed the popular character in the original RoboCop movie (1987) and the sequel RoboCop 2 (1990).

The update is set to release on May 26 for all platforms, including PC, PS4, Xbox One, Switch, and Stadia.

Existing players can pre-order the Aftermath expansion for $40 and get the Johnny Cage "Thanks a Million" skin. Newcomers can purchase Mortal Kombat 11: Aftermath Kollection which includes the base game, Aftermath expansion, and previously released DLC for $60. A physical version will be available at an unspecified later date in June.
