PlayStation Stars: Sony unveils virtual items to collect in its new loyalty program

Not long ago, in the middle of July to be precise, Sony Interactive Entertainment revealed the arrival of PlayStation Stars, a loyalty program which aims to strengthen its ties with its players. The first details had been given at that time, specifying that many gifts were going to be given to the most loyal players. On the occasion of the State of Play of September 14, 2022, the Japanese manufacturer wanted to give us an overview of the rewards that it is possible to recover, in particular virtual objects. An Ape Escape diorama, a Sony Chord Machine, a model of the fat version of the PS3 (the best) and other items of this type, Sony is primarily targeting the biggest fans of its community, but also the younger, those with a fondness for NFTs. Sony had also specified that blockchain technology would not be implemented in PlayStation Stars, just to reassure the most skeptical.

Joining PlayStation Stars is free, and once a member, you get rewards by completing activities or simply playing games, certainly during a given period. The "Monthly Check-In" campaign simply offers to play any game to collect virtual gifts, while other rewards are obtained by winning tournaments, or challenges such as being the first player to obtain platinum of a specific game in our local time zone. It is also recalled that all PlayStation Stars members will have the opportunity to earn loyalty points, which can then be exchanged in a catalog where you can find virtual currency to buy products on the PlayStation Store. In Spain, you will have to wait until the end of September to join this loyalty program.
