PS5: it's official, it is possible to update the DualSense from a PC
If it is possible to enjoy certain PlayStation productions on PC (Days Gone, GOD OF WAR, Horizon: Zero Dawn, Death Stranding among others) with the DualSense, until now, it was nevertheless mandatory to have a PS5 to put update its firmware. This is no longer the case, since Sony Interactive Entertainment announced on Twitter that it is now possible to download patches for the controller from a PC.

As indicated at this address, all you have to do is download the "DualSense wireless controller software update program" and follow the instructions, knowing of course that a USB cable is necessary. Small clarification: "You can only update the firmware for one controller at a time. To update the firmware of several controllers, you must perform this operation independently for each controller."

For the moment, there are few games to exploit the features of DualSense on PC, but this maneuver by Sony Interactive Entertainment remains appreciable.

PC gamers can now update their DualSense controller to the latest firmware from Windows 11 and select Windows 10 devices, without connecting it to a PS5: https://t.co/ADphaSGKZx pic.twitter.com/FtTLPwEC74
