He opened the Xbox & Bethesda Games Showcase last June, Redfall is back for QuakeCon 2022 which is currently being held online with a busy schedule. Through a video of more than 20 minutes, the developers of Arkane Austin (with a certain Harvey Smith as a spokesperson) give us biscuits around this FPS which features vampires. It is certainly not very original for a video game in 2022 to choose vampires as main enemies, but the latter will have a different behavior from classic bloodsuckers. We learn that the team did not want them to fear the cross of Jesus, garlic, holy water, etc. They are beings who know what they want and they are portrayed as bloodthirsty monsters. Ricardo Bare, the game's Creative Director, tells us that Redfall is Arkane Austin's most ambitious project, that the day/night cycle will change the atmosphere of the game and above all give it more consistency. The video also talks about weapons, with a modern arsenal, but also vintage weapons of the most beautiful effect. Of course, it will be possible to upgrade them, with accessories to add, which also make them effective melee weapons.
The release of Redfall has been postponed to 2023, all you have to do is take your troubles patiently...
