For Wild Rose Tall Tale, you have the option to pursue one of the Pirate Log accolades. This commendation is not required to complete the story. Still, it fleshes out your immersion in the story and provides a bit more context behind Sea of Thieves' star-crossed lovers George and Rose.

We also have a few other important things to note about finding these logs. The first and most important thing to mention is that you can only get it while the Wild Rose Tall Tale is active. If you find them while it is not active, it will not count towards the commendation awarded for finding them. Second, you don't need to find them in order. Although the only way to find them without a guide is to use the clues from the previous book, you can plan a faster route to collect them if you use this guide instead.

There is an easy way to understand this guide. Below you will find that we have provided the five islands on which you will find these logs. You'll also find images that lead you to their general location and nearby landmarks. The list below is the complete list of islands where they are located.

Now that you have the full list, you can plan a route and itinerary to visit the islands in the most efficient way. Since you're sailing to several different islands in your quest to complete the Tall Tale, now's the time to pick trips to complete on the side! More often than not, the trips will land you on one of the islands you need to visit to continue the Tall Tale. The guide below lists the journals in order of appearance in the story.

Diary #1: He will get killed! – Cannon Cove
In sequential order, the first journal you're supposed to find is on Cannon Cove. You will head to the beach connected to the bay on the west side of the island. You will find a campsite located in the inner corner of the beach, near the large pointed ledge in the middle of the island. You will find this journal under an abandoned barrel in this campsite. When you read it, you'll find that it leads you to our next location: Lone Cove!
Diary #2: Think I Like It - Lone Cove
This log is near the large rock in the center of the island. If you look along the eastern side of this rock, you will find wooden poles meant to make a path for travelers. On the inner side of this fence is the Journal. This one can be a bit tricky to spot, as it's right next to two taller objects. Use the images above to know where to look exactly. By reading it, you will know the location of the next Journal: Lagoon of Whispers.
Diary #3: A Kiss and a Miss - Lagoon of Whispers
Lagoon of Whispers is where George and Rose shared their first kiss. Luckily, it's a small island, so the Journal isn't hard to find. On the western side of the island, a few steps from the cluster of large rocks, are salvages and a lantern hanging not far from the ground. The Journal is posted on one of the barrels here. When you read this journal, you will be directed to the location of the fourth journal: Sailor's Bounty.
Diary #4: He Proposed! – Sailor's Bounty
Sailor's Bounty is known as the Trap Island because of all the traps. The Positive Side? Every effort should be made to meet them. Approach this island from the southeast and park in the group of islands north of the mainland. The Journal is located on the second islet, under several barrels and other broken pieces of a ship. Once you read this book, you will know the location of the last Journal: Rapier Cay!

Diary #5: I want to fight! –Rapier Cay
If you're anything like us, this will actually be the first journal you find! We ended up coming across it during our search for the Memory Chest. Rapier Cay is a small island, so you won't have to walk far for this log. On the North Beach, from foliage to center, are several barrels and trees. The last Journal is right in front of these barrels.

Once you find all the logs, you will unlock the True Treasure Commendation! It's one of the seven accolades you need to earn to truly complete Wild Rose's Tall Tale and earn the Legendary Commendation. Several accolades are awarded along the way as you complete the main part of this tall tale for the first time. Besides those (and the one you just achieved), there's only one other commendation you need to get, and that requires you to complete Wild Rose five times.
