Sonic Prime: the Netflix series unveils its first trailer, it's visually surprising

Since its official announcement last February, the Sonic TV series project on Netflix has been feared among fans of the blue hedgehog. It must be said that at Netflix, we are the champions of lame adaptations, and too bad if they have to ruin people's youth. After a few snippets of images here and there, here comes the very first trailer for this series which will arrive at the end of the year. And as surprising as it may seem, we were pleasantly surprised by the visual rendering, which is closer to a video game cutscene than a full-fledged animated film. Nothing pejorative in what we say, quite the contrary, we even have the impression that the creators at WildBrain Studios (Inspector Gadget, Mega Man: Fully Charged, Transformers: Rescue Bot and the Teletubbies) have voluntarily chosen this video game aspect to stick as closely as possible to the original work. If technically, it sends a lot, at the level of the scenario, everything is still mysterious. In the video, however, we see key characters like Dr. Robotnik, Shadow and a few characters from the Sonic universe. The sets are also represented identically and the series shows this feeling of speed well. Can't wait for the exit.
