Steelrising: fight in the streets of Paris for this French Souls-like

The media success of Lies of P during this gamescom 2022 made Nacon and the Spiders studio want to remind you that they too are preparing a Souls-like made of automatons in a baroque universe. And since the game is Franco-French, why not highlight the beautiful city of Paris at the time of the 4th century? In this new XNUMXK gameplay video, we can appreciate some iconic places in the French capital, such as the Louvre, the Luxembourg Gardens, the Invalides, Bastille, but also the Cité with Notre-Dame de Paris. The developers of Spiders have even done a job of recreation by integrating monuments that no longer exist today, such as the Grand Chatelet, the Pont au Change or the famous Bastille.

As a reminder, the story of Steelrising offers an alternative version of history, with King Louis XVI who had an army of automatons designed by his engineers, because he is passionate about watchmaking, but also because he wishes to prevent the people from rising up and taking the Bastille as in 1789. As a result, Paris is on fire and bloodshed, and men, women and children are systematically massacred. We will play the role of Aegis, an automaton-warrior who was once a robot dedicated to dancing for the pleasure of the Court, while being the bodyguard of Marie-Antoinette. It was the king's wife who sent him to go and destroy the machines of terror of Louis XVI.

The release of Steelrising is expected for September 8 on PC, PS5 and Xbox Series, knowing that a beta is coming today, August 25 for those who have pre-ordered the game. It will be an opportunity to discover the two first levels: Saint Cloud and Les Invalides.
