Street Fighter 6: Honda, Blanka, Dhalsim and Ken in a jaw-dropping trailer

The Tokyo Game Show 2022 got off to a flying start this Thursday, September 15, 2022, and Capcom had made an appointment with citizens from around the world to present some of the games that are coming under their aegis. Obviously, it's impossible not to mention Street Fighter 6 which continues to arouse real enthusiasm among players and the press who have already been able to play the game several times (we know something about it). The game will also be playable on the Capcom stand at the Tokyo show, but for the others, we had the right to the appearance of emblematic characters from the series. Honda, Blanka, Dhalsim and Ken are indeed the 4 fighters who were presented today, along with Takayuki Nakayama, the game director. After a hard-hitting trailer where we learned to tell the difference between the "Fighting Ground", "World Tour" and "Battle Hub" modes, we were also able to get a glimpse of our 4 guests, looks and movements included. We learned that Blanka now works as a tour guide in the Amazon, which explains his new outfit and bandana. But the great novelty of Blanka is that he now uses a stuffed animal that he can throw and electrify far away. Dhalsim displays his big white beard, and even if he is still slow in his movements, he has an incredible reach and can now create new fireballs that can cause serious damage. Honda is pretty much true to where it was before, although it stands more upright and seems quicker in its travels. As for Ken, he has swapped his red kimono for a more urban outfit, but keeps his flames that he can trigger at any time.



In addition to these formal presentations, we were also able to get a glimpse of the “World Tour” mode, with the possibility of creating your own fighter who will travel through a world full of opponents. Sometimes the game will then switch to beat'em all mode, Final Fight style, sometimes we will return to a more classic 1v1 system. There will also be mini-games such as the return of vehicles to be destroyed in record time, and plenty of activities and purchases to do so that we are never bored in this new open world. There remains the "Extreme Battle" mode which will add danger and obstacles to the fights, with for example a bull which tumbles out of nowhere, Mets from the Mega Man series which will disrupt the match, electric pestles which reduce the combat zone, or even this rolling grenade that we try to pass. In short, great promises that will come to life in 2023 on PC, PS5, Xbox Series, PS4 and Xbox One.
