Three years already since the Red Barrels studio announced the existence of The Outlast Trials, which is none other than the third episode of this horrific game played in subjective view. The development seems to be ending slowly and this is the opportunity to discover a new video, full of gameplay, presented during gamescom 2022. In addition to confirming to us that the atmosphere will be even more unhealthy than usual, the developers alert us to the establishment of a closed beta which will take place from October 28 to November 1, 2022. While waiting to know what this beta will contain, the press release in English tells us that the story of The Outlast Trials will take place during of the Cold War, when scientists were allowed experimental laboratories where human beings were treated like meat. We will play one of the physically and mentally tormented subjects, who will have to make their way through these maze to find the exit door and try to get out of here in one piece, or with a few missing limbs at best. The Outlast Trials is scheduled for release in 2023 on PC.
