Given that the Xbox One and the PS4 were entitled to more powerful models (PS4 Pro for one, Xbox One X for the other), it seems obvious that Microsoft and Sony Interactive Entertainment will proceed in the same way for their successors. Moreover, as part of a conference organized by TCL Technology, the PS5 Pro and the future Xbox Series were mentioned, as reported by Maciej Zabłocki of PPE.pl (via Tom Henderson). According to the Chinese electronics giant, the machines should land in 2023-2024 and would be geared towards 8K. That's not all, since it is indicated that they will ship the Radeon RX 7700 XT, the next graphics processor from AMD which will be based on an RDNA 3 architecture. If the level of performance announced is similar to that of the RX 6900 XT, AMD pointed out that ray-tracing would be better managed.
In a new conference, TCL Technology has said that a new Xbox Series S/X and PS5 Pro are coming in 2023/2024.

For the moment, neither Sony Interactive Entertainment nor Microsoft has suggested that mid-generation consoles are in the pipeline, but if TCL Technology has drawn slides highlighting them, it's probably because it plans to design televisions made for them. Moreover, the crisis of electronic components is far from over, and we rather imagine the two manufacturers to ensure that stocks are at the rendezvous. In some industries (automotive for example) we expect a return to normal from 2023. Anyway, this TCL Technology conference which took place in Poland echoes recent rumors according to which studios are already in possession of the PS5 Pro development kit.
