Made official last February, a month after being leaked, The Quarry is back in the spotlight thanks to a gameplay video that our American colleagues from IGN obtained from 2K Games. It is indeed the first 30 minutes of the game featuring David Arquette, famous figure of the Scream saga. That's good since The Quarry is a game of anxiety and horror, in the same vein as Until Dawn and Dark Pictures that the Supermassives Games studio has already produced before. This is an opportunity to meet two protagonists who will go to a summer camp that seems totally abandoned. Obviously, it is in the middle of the night that the couple arrives, knowing that they are going to make a macabre discovery, with human remains at the bottom of a gloomy cellar. Very quickly, we realize that our young adults are not alone and that a creature is going to attack them. These first 30 minutes allow us to set the atmosphere, but also to show us the gameplay mechanics based on QTEs and consequences depending on the choices made. Nothing that changes or revolutionizes the genre, and we also hope to be surprised when the game is released.
The Quarry will be released on June 10 on PS5, Xbox Series, PS4, Xbox One and PC.
