The Witcher 3: next gen' PS5 and Xbox Series versions postponed until further notice

The Witcher 3: next gen' PS5 and Xbox Series versions postponed until further notice
Initially scheduled for the second half of 2022, the next gen versions, PS5 and Xbox Series X | S, of The Witcher 3 will not see the light of day immediately. In a message posted on Twitter, CD Projekt Red informs players that the game is simply postponed until further notice, for undoubtedly qualitative reasons. The Polish studio specifies that the rest of the port will be provided internally, which means that the Saber Interactive studio, which was working on it until now, is no longer in charge of the project. It's unclear what the nature of the dispute is, but it must be big enough for CD Projekt Red to get heavy on the job as The Witcher 4 was announced a few weeks ago.

We have decided to hand over the remaining work on the next-gen version of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt to our in-house development team. We are currently assessing the scope of the work to be done and therefore have to postpone the QXNUMX release until further notice. We will let you know as soon as possible. Thank you for understanding.

It is therefore difficult to measure the amount of work that remains for these next gen' versions of The Witcher 3 to be presentable, but it is certain that since the chaotic launch of Cyberpunk 2077, CD Projekt Red has taken all the precautions not to undergo a new bad buzz. What we can easily understand...

We have decided to have our in-house development team conduct the remaining work on the next-gen version of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. We are currently evaluating the scope of work to be done and thus have to postpone Q2 release until further notice. 1/2
