If Spain will have to wait until July 13 to be able to discover the new adventures of Thor within the MCU, in other countries, the film has been broadcast for a few days. Released on July 6 in Belgium and on July 8 in the United States and Canada, Thor Love & Thunder is already a hit at the box office with more than 302 million dollars collected in a few days. Nothing surprising when you know that all Marvel films are generally cash machines. According to the Variety site, Thor Love and Thunder grossed $143 million in North America, and $159 million in other countries around the world that already air it. That's better than Thor Ragnarok which made $123 million when it launched in North America 5 years ago in 2017. the latter ranks behind Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness ($185 million) and Jurassic World Dominion ($145 million). Thor Love & Thunder did better than Minions 2, however, which raked in a not-so-bad $45,5 million in its second week, for a total of $210 million.
Anyway, Thor Love and Thunder has no room for error, he who cost a whopping $ 250 million to produce, which is significantly higher than the latest MCU productions such as Dr. Strange 2 (200 million budget), The Eternals (200 million budget) or even Shang-Chi (150 million budget). None of these films has managed to cross the billion dollars at the box office, even if Dr Strange 2 is approaching with difficulty.
